Peer Support Groups
What to Expect in our Peer Support Groups
If you’re new to Living in Recovery, you’re welcome just as you are. Our peer support groups are open to people in any type of recovery, as well as those who have been impacted by another person’s substance use. You do not need to have everything figured out, and there is no pressure to speak unless you want to.
Groups are peer-led, supportive, and centered on respect, shared experience, and choice. You can expect a non-judgmental space where people listen, offer encouragement, and support one another’s recovery in many different ways.
Living in Recovery offers a wide range of peer-led support groups for people in any type of recovery, as well as for those who have been affected by another person’s substance use. Our groups are designed to meet people where they are, recognizing that recovery looks different for everyone.
Group offerings include open discussion groups, recovery reading and discussion, All Recovery meetings, Dharma-based recovery groups, yoga, meditation, and Recovery Capital groups. Recovery Capital groups focus on building the personal, social, and community resources that support long-term recovery, such as connection, purpose, skills, and stability.
All groups are facilitated by peers and emphasize mutual respect, lived experience, and voluntary participation. There is no requirement to share, and people are encouraged to engage in ways that feel comfortable and supportive for them.
In addition to groups hosted by Living in Recovery, we welcome outside 12-step groups to use our space outside of regular center hours. By sharing our space, we aim to support the broader recovery community and increase access to safe, welcoming meeting environments.
